"I am always torn between having too many creative pursuits but enjoy
the variety of being able to express myself in many different art forms."

About Ellen

From an early age, Ellen Gorecki liked to create things. She started painting with oils when she was 13 and won first prize for one of her paintings at a local Fall Fair. In 1983 she joined a local art club and was inspired to take up painting with watercolour. She also took courses in floral design and pottery. Her interests in sewing and stitchery were enhanced by becoming a member of a local heritage arts guild.

Ellen taught elementary school for 18 years and for many years focused on teaching art. In recent times she has taught watercolour painting classes and workshops. She has worked with many organizations to promote the arts in her community.
